Flash Cisco autonomous to LAP

1) Set a static IP for the Cisco autonomous AP.
2) Flash the AP with the LWAP firmware via GUI.
3) Console into AP, run the command to clear the static IP:

ap(config)# clear lwapp ap ip address

Now the AP is ready as a LAP.

Reset Cisco Aironet 1200 series

Step 0: Console to the AP (make sure you’re always console to the AP thru out)
Step 1: Disconnect power from AP.
Step 2: Press and hold the MODE button while you reconnect power to the AP.
Step 3: Hold the MODE button until the Status LED turns amber (approximately 1 to 2 sec), and release the button.
Step 4: After the AP reboots, you must re-configure the AP by using CLI or GUI
*Note: The AP is configured with the factory default values including IP address. The default username and password are Cisco/Cisco

Factory reset Cisco AP 1140 cli

Factory reset Cisco AP 1140 via cli:

**This the command below will reset everything but the IP addr:
ap(config)# erase startup-config
ap# reload

**To change the ethernet interface to DHCP client:
ap(config)# interface BVI1
ap(config-if)# ip address dhcp client-id GigabitEthernet0
ap# write memory
