DNS Suffix in Linux

I’m using CentOS 6 in this case.

**Make sure you have the Domain attribute in the ifcfg-eth0:

# vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
DOMAIN=site1.domain.com

If you have more than 1 domains:

DOMAIN="site1.domain.com site2.domain.com"

After the above setting, system will auto add the search line in /etc/resolv.conf

# cat /etc/resolv.conf
search site1.domain.com site2.domain.com
