Mac myths exposed! Part 2

MACS HAVE A LIMITED RANGE OF SOFTWARE

What exactly do you want to do with a Mac that you think might not be possible? Every Mac sold ships with a browser (Safari), email client (Mail) and basic word processor (TextEdit). iLife provides video and photo editing tools (iMovie and iPhoto), a web design application (iWeb), DVD burning software (iDVD) and iTunes for downloading, buying and playing back music and podcasts.

There are dozens of office suites, including Microsoft Office, which is compatible with its Windows equivalent and high-end design tools like Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver, all from Adobe, are arguably better on the Mac than they are on PC.

We’d defy you to find a mainstream task that a Mac can’t perform just as well as  PC, if not better. Plus, the Mac is far easier to program than a PC thanks to the great development software Apple and other publishers have put together. This has encouraged an army of third-party coders to knock out some great applications – at very low prices – that you simply can’t get for Windows.
